The young Dix Hills resident earned international recognition for a record-setting basketball achievement.

DIX HILLS, NY — A young Dix Hills resident is gaining global recognition after setting a Kids World Record for the longest time dribbling a basketball in his age group.
Aariv set the record in the Boys 7-9 division with a time of 2 minutes and 24 seconds, completing the feat on March 28 in Dix Hills, according to Kids World Records.
The endurance-based challenge requires continuous control of the basketball without interruption, testing both focus and coordination.

The achievement was later officially recorded and announced on April 4, the organization said.
Aariv’s accomplishment places him among young record holders recognized worldwide by Kids World Records, which verifies children’s achievements across dozens of categories.

“Kids World Records now reaches young achievers in 63 countries, making it one of the fastest-growing global platforms celebrating children’s achievements,” CEO Emile Hoffman said. “We’re thrilled to welcome Aariv into the expanding KWR family.”
The record is expected to be featured in the organization’s 2027 edition, officials said.
Beyond basketball, Aariv also has a passion for chess, holding a rating of over 1,000, reflecting his dedication across multiple disciplines.
Kids World Records tracks achievements for children ages 4 to 16, focusing on safe, measurable, and repeatable challenges.
