Police ID Driver Killed After Striking Vehicles in Huntington Station
The man suffered an apparent medical emergency while driving Tuesday night, police say.

A Huntington Station man was killed Tuesday night after police say he drove off the road and into a driveway of a residence, striking two vehicles.
According to authorities, Gary Capek, 58, was driving a 2006 Ford F-250 pickup truck northbound on New York Avenue when he appeared to suffer a medical emergency and left the roadway at 5:43 p.m. He drove into the driveway of a home and struck the vehicles, including one that was occupied by two adults.
Capek was transported to Huntington Hospital by Huntington Community Rescue where he was pronounced dead. Police do not know yet whether the medical emergency or the crash caused the man's death.

The two people in the driveway did not suffer any injuries, police say.
Capek’s Ford was inspected for a safety check and the investigation is continuing.
