The Suffolk Piano Teachers Foundation (SPTF) will honor Shirley Xiong, third grader at Laurel Hill School in East Setauket as Second Place Winner of the elementary division at the Honors Recital and Awards Ceremony to be held at Stony Brook University's Staller Center Recital Hall on Thursday, June 2, at 5pm and 7:30pm.
As a second place winner, Shirley will receive her medal and certificate. She performed The Music Box by E. Poldini at the March competition. Shirley is a student of SPTF President, Esther Chung Marks.
SPTF wishes to honor Barry Tognolini and thank Steinway Gallery of Long Island for their generous cash award donations for all first place winners of the five-level competition. SPTF is a non-profit organization. Honors recitals are free and open to the public.
