
TOWN OF HUNTINGTON, NY — Election Day 2019 is here. The vote for Huntington Town Council saw six candidates vie for two open seats.
Republican incumbent Eugene Cook and Democratic incumbent Joan Cergol ran against Republican challenger Andre Sorrentino, Democratic challenger Kathleen Cleary, Libertarian challenger Patrick Deegan Jr. and Green challenger Eleanor Putignano.

Joan Cergol: 20,882 votes; 26 percent
Eugene Cook: 19,931 votes; 24.81 percent

Andre Sorrentino: 19,336 votes; 24.07 percent
Kathleen Cleary: 18,777 votes; 23.38 percent
Patrick Deegan Jr.: 938 votes; 1.17 percent
Eleanor Putignano: 457 votes; 0.57 percent
With all 178 districts reporting, Patch has called the race for Cergol and Cook.
