Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) recently co-hosted a Flag Day ceremony with the Huntington Elks. The ceremony consisted of a flag retirement ceremony and a presentation of awards for local students who took part in the Elks’ essay contest.
“The flag is a symbol of our nation and all that has gone into making our country the great place it is today,” said Lupinacci. “The Flag Day ceremony was an excellent opportunity to honor this great symbol and provide a proper retirement for damaged flags. I was also tremendously honored to join members of the Elks to honor our great local scholars. I would like to thank the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts who attended, the Elks and everyone who made the event such a success.”
