Empty In Huntington: Former Dairy Barn on New York Avenue

Walk down Main Street or drive down Route 110 in Huntington Station and you will notice some vacant storefronts adorned with "For Rent" signs, a possible indication of the hard times the area — and country — are facing.

The Town of Huntington has embarked on a  to spark economic growth in the area and fill empty sites with businesses and housing.

Huntington Patch will spotlight empty properties to foster discussion in the community on what can, should and could be done to rehab abandoned places.

The former Dairy Barn on Ninth Street and New York Avenue has been empty for years. No further information was available on the fenced-off property.
