Empty in Huntington: Former Straight From the Heart Site

Straight from the Heart, an organic foods market, has been empty for several years. The look of the building has declined and the parking lot has deteroriated, with large potholes near the sidewalk.

An agent for the East Main Street property declined to give information on the status of the property, instead saying, "Americans are afraid of the economy going further south. And then there’s municipatlities that are the first word is NO. You need a variance, give me your first born. Instead of saying come on in."

Town of Huntington records list Mary Liotta of Glen Head as the property's owner.
