The town of Huntington will sponsor a free egg hunt -- registration required -- in Heckscher Park for children up to age 8, its Spring Eggstravaganza, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20.
Councilman Mark Cuthbertson, with chief sponsorship support from Ahern's Lawn and Garden, will offer the event in the tennis court area of Heckscher Park in Huntington.
There will be treat-filled eggs for three different age groups: kids ages 1-3, ages 4-6 and ages 7-8. The hunt will take place in 20-minute sessions. There will also be face painting and craft tables.

Advance registration is required. Please visit www.tohparks.com and click on "Special Events" to register. If a household does not yet have a Parks and Recreation account, it will ask that you create one in order to log in and register. Once registered, please print out ticket and bring to the event. Please bring canned food item for local food pantry.
