The New York Islanders are teaming up with the American Red Cross once again to help save lives by hosting a blood drive, before hitting the ice for a pre-season matchup with the New Jersey Devils, Sept. 24th.
The first 200 people to donate blood, from 12-7 PM in the Lower Lobby of Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, will receive a voucher for two tickets to an upcoming weeknight game and valuable coupons for local merchants, like Famous Dave's BBQ in Westbury and Monro Muffler/Brake Service.
All donors who are attending the game will be entered to win an opportunity to "High 5" the players as they go out onto the ice!

The need for blood is constant, especially in light of recent disasters like Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee which caused cancellations of blood drives across the country.
To schedule an appointment call 1-800-RED-CROSS or go to RedCrossBlood.org and use reference sponsor code 15930.
