The Whitman High School boys track team is participating in the Suffolk County Relays hosted at Bayport-Blue Point High School over two days, May 13-14.
The pentahalon will be held starting at 4 p.m. Friday and the other events begin at 8 a.m. Saturday.
The relays were cut from the Bayport-Blue Point school budget this year, but fundraising by the local runners group and Lions Club helped raise enough money for the event, which began in 1946, to be held.
