A free, five-week workshop for safe boating sponsored by the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary starts Saturday at the Huntington Public Library.
Children ages 10 – 17 will learn the rules and regulations of boating safely on the Long Island Sound. Children 10 years and up receive a license to operate a motorboat and children 14 years and up receive a certificate to operate a personal watercraft (proof of age may be required).
The course is held in the youth program room and is open to all.
