HUNTINGTON, NY — Feeling brave or want to feel the chills down your spine during this Halloween season?
Huntington Town Clerk Andrew Raia dares fearless residents and visitors to be his “ghost” for a Halloween fright, the town announced. Raia is opening All Hallow’s Month at the “Hauntington” Town Clerk’s Archives with a guided tour exploring Huntington’s haunted history, kicking off Archives Month in the Town of Huntington Jo-Ann Raia Archives at Huntington Town Hall, at 100 Main Street.
Archives Month is an annual, month-long celebration in October with the purpose to promote historical records repositories, the importance of archives and manuscripts to society, and archivists’ responsibilities. This event will feature live interpretations based on stories from the Town’s manuscript collection.
