Five Things Going on This Week

1. Mega Networking Conference: Keynote speaker Kevin McCrudden will discuss networking, the sales process, preparing for success, and managing success at the Paramount Theater Monday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Admission $25.

2. Elections: and school district voters will go to the polls on Tuesday and cast ballots on proposed school budgets and board of education candidates.

3. Last Hope Animal Rescue Flea Market: The shelter will hold a flea market Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Bebe's Church, located at 220 Berry Hill Rd., Syosset. All proceeds benefit Last Hope's rescued dogs and cats, as well as community outreach programs like Fix-A-Feral. Please call (516) 731-6750 to donate items.

4. Big Week At The Book Revue: On Wednesday, Pilot Captain Sully Sullenberger will sign his new book, "Making a Difference: Stories of Vision and Courage From America's Leaders." Academy Award winning actor and Billy Bob Thornton and author Kinky Friedman will sign their book "The Billy Bob Tapes: A Cave Full of Ghosts." Jersey Shore cast member Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi will be in Huntington to sign her new novel, "Gorilla Beach," on Friday.

5. Hockey Registration: Long Island's "Back from College" Summer Ice Hockey season begins May 29 and runs to August 14. Registration currently ongoing.
