"Geraldo Golf Classic" Honors Steven Santino
Steven Santino from People's United Bank was honored at the June 22 "Geraldo Golf Classic", a tournament that raises funds for Life's WORC.
Steven G. Santino, the New York Market Leader, First Vice President and Senior Growth Manager at People’s United Bank (www.peoplesunitedbank.com) was the “guest of honor” at the annual “Geraldo Rivera Golf Classic”, a tournament established more than twenty years ago to raise funds for Life’s WORC (www.lifesworc.org). Mr. Santino, a Huntington resident, is responsible for 57 People’s United Bank branches in New York, which includes the growing presence that this 170-year-old financial institution has enjoyed in the Long Island region. The sold out fundraiser was held at Edgewood Country Club, River Vale, New Jersey.
The proceeds went to assist some 1200 people with developmental disabilities, mental retardation, and autism who receive services from this Garden City-based agency launched 45 years ago by Queens Courier newspaper publisher Victoria Schneps with help from television journalist icon Gerald Rivera.

WABC Radio (770 AM) co-sponsored this event, and Geraldo Rivera interviewed Mr. Santino and other guests during a live WABC Radio broadcast from the golf tournament site.

Based at People’s United Bank in Hauppauge, Mr. Santino is very active in a variety of non-profit and municipal organizations. Mr. Santino received his bachelor’s degree in communications from the Southern Connecticut State University, his master’s degree in industrial relations and a graduate certificate in Human Resources from the University of New Haven. He also graduated from the National School of Banking with honors.
