Great Neck, NY (May 2016) – This Summer – May 15th through September 6th – The Gold Coast Arts Center will begin premiering an exhibition of aerosol artwork titled Off The Wall: Art in Transition! With an opening reception scheduled on Sunday May 15th, 2016 4:00PM-7:00PM the center will begin showcasing some of the best works of art from some of the most talented artists from the New York area at 113 Middle Neck Road, Great Neck.
In recent decades, aerosol art has made the leap out of the streets and off subway cars into the upscale art world of museums and galleries. Increasingly, street art has gained credibility as the latest major art movement. The exhibition will feature works of 6 talented artists, a few of whom were part of Gold Coast’s inaugural exhibit WALL WORKS in 2014, who have successfully made the transition into the mainstream.
