Man Falls Asleep While Driving, Causes Huntington Station Parking Lot Pileup

The crash occurred Sunday night, police say.

A 21-year-old Greenlawn man reportedly fell asleep at the wheel and caused a pileup in a Huntington Station parking lot Sunday night, police say.

According to authorities, the man, who was operating a 2005 Dodge Neon, struck two parked vehicles at Advanced Auto, located at 930 East Jericho Turnpike, at 11:07 p.m.

The initial crash then caused the two vehicles to crash into a fence and collide with two trailers that were parked in the adjacent lot, police say.
