Harbor Harvest Food Market Opens In Halesite

HALESITE, NY — Harbor Harvest, a food market specializing in quality, sustainable farm-to-table products, opened in Halesite on Friday. The market is at 135 New York Ave., Halesite, according to its website.

"We believe that local food is the future, and that local transportation has to support it," owner Bob Kunkel said in a statement on the market's 'About Us' page. "Harbor Harvest is a butcher shop, retail store, farmers market, small café, and is based on local support of the community."

The Harbor Harvest menu includes a list of coffee and tea products, as well as sandwiches. Daily specials and other information can be found on the store's Instagram page. The store's first location was founded in Norwalk, Connecticut.
