Harborfields Diver Takes 5th At State Competition

GREENLAWN, NY — Alex Zhang, a senior at Harborfields High School, finished fifth overall in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association’s 2022 Boys Swimming and Diving Championships, the school district announced. The competition was held at Ithaca College on March 4 and 5.

Zhang, who was named an All-American diver and won a third consecutive Suffolk County diving championship last year, is set to attend the U.S Military Academy at West Point this fall.

"Alex has had an incredible career and we are so proud of all of his accomplishments," said Robert Franco, the district’s director of health, physical education and athletics.
