Harborfields Girls Tennis Team Honored By Board Of Education
The varsity squad won the Suffolk County Championship.

GREENLAWN, NY — The Harborfields High School girls varsity tennis team was honored at the school district's Nov. 16 board of education meeting for their status as Suffolk County champions, the school district announced.
Harborfields defeated the Half Hollow Hills East Thunderbirds by a 5-2 score on Oct. 28 in a battle of the county's top two seeds. The girls tennis squad earned their first county championship in school history.
Coached by Jimmy Delevante, the Tornadoes finished their near-perfect season with an impressive 18-0 record. The team was only stopped in the Long Island Championship by Port Washington, as Harborfields fell 6-1 to the Nassau champions.
