Harborfields Student-Musicians Earn Suffolk-Level Recognition

GREENLAWN, NY — As 2023 neared its end, the Harborfields School District received word that more than 60 of its students in grades 5-10 were selected for the Suffolk County Music Educators’ Association’s 2024 All-County ensembles.

These student-musicians, recognized as some of the best in the area in their respective grade levels and divisions, will have the opportunity to rehearse and perform with their SCMEA ensembles in early March.

"It’s absolutely wonderful to see such high achievement across so many grade levels, buildings, ensembles and musical disciplines," K-12 Music Department Coordinator Dan Bilawsky said in a news release. "This recognition is a testament to the students’ focus and hard work, the efforts of the district’s incredibly dedicated music staff, and the contributions of the entire Harborfields family within and beyond our school walls."
