Preschoolers were able to get up close and personal with Huntington Community First Aid Squad last Friday.
HCFAS brought an ambulance and a first responder vehicle to the YMCA and gave the children a tour of the equipment they use to treat victims. The children also met many of the members who respond to emergencies.
HCFAS says its important for children to learn at an early age how to call 911 for help. In many instances, a young child is the person who calls 911 to get help for a relative who is suffering from a medical emergency.
