Huntington Arts Festival Ends This Weekend

Performances begin at 8:30 p.m.

Huntington’s 2014 Summer Arts Festival comes to a close this weekend. The lineup includes singing, indie rock, classical and a whole lot of blues.

Performances start at 8:30 p.m. at Heckscher Park in Huntington, at Main Street (25A) and Prime Ave.

Here is the lineup.

Thursday: Island Hills Chorus and Twin Shore Chorus. Based in Hauppauge, Island Hills features female barbershop and acapella singers from around the region. Twin Shores is an all-male all-male Long Island barbershop acapella group that performs across Nassau and Suffolk.

Friday: The Alternate Routes, an American Indie rock band. The group has appeared as a musical guest on musical guest on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, opened a tour for O.A.R. and more.

Saturday: Long Island Philharmonic. Widely supported, the Long Island Philharmonic is the only professional symphony orchestra based on Long Island.

Sunday: Roomful of Blues. Nominated for five Grammy Awards, the band brings a mix of swing, rock ‘n’ roll, jump, blues and R&B.
