Huntington Boy Gets More Buckets Than Some NBA Players

The fourth grader won the district level free throw competition handily.

A fourth grader at Flower Hill Elementary School in Huntington has got game.

Dominic Parides won a district level basketball free throw competition on Saturday.

Each competitor was required to take 25 free throws and whoever got the most shots won the competition. Parides got 21 out of 25, winning handily. Second place got 13 out of 25 free throws.

Parides is competing in a five-step competition that starts at the local level, then moves to district, regional, state and national.

The national winner will get their name put in the basketball Hall of Fame, located in Springfield, MA.

Parides' next competition is at the regional level in Rockland County on Saturday, Feb. 4.

The competition is sponsored through the Elks Lodge.
