  1. Huntington Station woman drove high on drugs with child in the car. Rachel Meyer, 28, was arrested and charged on Sunday under Leandra's Law after she was found passed out behind the wheel shortly after crashing into the median by exit 53. It was determined she was under the influence of drugs, all with her 4-month-old daughter in the car. Meyer and her daughter were safe, and she was held overnight Sunday with arraignment on Monday. 4. Bistro Cassis was named Long Island's best French restaurant for the second year in a row. Long Islanders have spoken once again, naming the restaurant located at 55 Wall St. their favorite French spot to dine. Recent diner Andrew wrote on Yelp, "With every order the server places a slice of baguette on your bread dish, and they replenish it when gone. One of my favorite choices for dinner or lunch are their mussels, Provençale-style, which is in a garlic-infused basil and tomato broth. My other is the classic salade frisee aux lardons, which is dressed with thick chunks of bacon and topped with a soft boiled egg. Both are quite good." (Daily Voice)
