A noisy crowd attended the game, which played out under partly sunny skies.

"Although it wasn’t an accurate demonstration of our game and we didn't do it in our usual dominating way; a win is a win," Annunziata said. "The defense played great as a unit and we were able to capitalize on Whitman’s mistakes. Lots of work to get done from now until the playoffs. We are taking it one day at a time. The guys are all working hard every day and I couldn’t be more proud of them."
