Huntington Joins Free Book Exchange Movement Sweeping the World
Take out a book free of charge from the Little Free Library, located in Town Hall.

Free book exchange program that has been sweeping the world has come to Huntington for your reading pleasure.
The Little Free Library is a birdhouse-like box, 18 inches long and 14 inches deep, located in Town Hall. The Huntington Public Library stocked it with an initial collection, including:
- James Patterson novel, “I, Michael, Bennett”
- Novel “The Devil Wears Prada” by Lauren Weisberger
- Children’s book “Disney Bedtime Favorites”
- Satiric collection “1,000 Unforgettable Senior Moments”
Anyone who stops by the Little Free Library can take one the books and exchange it for a book they have finished reading or would like to share. The books are free and you don’t have to check them out. Anyone taking out one of the books can keep it if they wish to do so.

The library plans to periodically check the box to make sure it’s stocked with a range of books for adults, children and teens.
"At the Huntington Public Library, we encourage literacy in many different ways, whether it be through books from our library or through exchanges like The Little Free Library,” Library director Joanne Adam said. “We hope this will encourage people to read more and to find out how much they can enrich their lives through books.”
