Huntington Police Blotter: 2 Men Steal From Someone At Store
Both men gave police the same false name, and one of them tried to run away, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from May 10 through May 16.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- Kevin King, 35, of Greenlawn, while working with Raymon Hardy, 38, of Huntington Station, stole a phone, bags, tools, drill and wallet that belonged to another person at a store, police said. He tried to run from an officer and swung his arms in an attempt to get away, police said. King also said he was someone else, as he had a credit card with someone's name on it and said he was that person, police said. He was arrested and charged with second-degree identity theft: obtain goods, second-degree obstruct governmental administration, resisting arrest, third-degree grand larceny, second-degree assault: intent to cause physical injury to officer, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana on May 13.
- Raymon Hardy, 38, of Huntington Station, while working with Kevin King, 35, of Greenlawn, stole a credit card from another person at a store, police said. He gave the same wrong name to police that King did, police said. He was arrested and charged with second-degree identity theft: obtain goods and third-degree grand larceny on May 13.
