Huntington Police Blotter: 7-Eleven Employee Steals From Store
The man is accused of stealing cash from the register in addition to a drop safe, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from July 18 through July 24.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- Nicholas Boccia, 28, of Massapequa Park, stole clothing, headphones, cell phone accessories, and a book bag from Target at 124 E. Jericho Turnpike, Huntington Station, on June 5, police said. On July 17, Boccia returned to Target and stole multiple pairs of headphones, as well as changed the barcodes of several items to lower priced items, and then scanned the lower-price items before leaving, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and two counts of petty larceny on July 24.
- Michael Graves, 29, of Huntington, used a piece of concrete to smash a 2004 BMW multiple times in South Huntington, causing damage, police said. He was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal mischief: property of $250 or more on July 21.
- Kevin Velasquez, 30, of Huntington Station, stole cash from the cash register of 7-Eleven and swiped a drop safe while working as an employee of the store, located at 1297 New York Ave., Huntington Station, police said. The theft took place between March 1 and June 1, police said. He was arrested and charged with third-degree grand larceny on July 19.
