Huntington Police Blotter: 7 Louis Vuitton Pocketbooks Nabbed

ALSO: Someone committed identity theft and made five separate transactions at a bank, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from Feb. 19 through Feb. 25.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Feb. 22: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Walt Whitman Road in South Huntington at 11:44 a.m. Seven Louis Vuitton pocketbooks were stolen from Saks Fifth Avenue, police said.
  • Feb. 20: Identity theft (first-degree) was reported on West Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station at noon. Someone had money removed and transferred to another account in more than five separate transactions at Capital One Bank, police said.
  • Feb. 18: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Nichols Road in Huntington Station at 3 a.m. A catalytic converter was stolen off a 2008 Hyundai Sonata, police said.
