Huntington Police Blotter: Man Charged In Hit-And-Run
He drove off after a Huntington Station crash that resulted in damage to another vehicle, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from Sept. 20 through Sept. 26.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- Bita Azarieh, 56, of Huntington, was driving a 2019 Honda eastbound on Dunlop Road and Ashland Drive in Huntington when she was seen failing to signal a lane change at 12:22 a.m. Sept. 26, police said. Azarieh was pulled over, and an officer determined she was drunk, police said. She was arrested and charged with operator of motor vehicle BAC .08 of 1 percent: first offense and driving while intoxicated on Sept. 26.
- Michael Smith, 50, of Huntington Station, was in a car crash resulting in damage to another vehicle on New York Avenue and West 13th Street, Huntington Station, at 6:35 p.m. Sept. 25, police said. Smith drove away on East 13th Street without exchanging information, police said. He was arrested and charged with operator leave scene of property damage accident on Sept. 25.
