Huntington Police Blotter: Man Drives From Officers In Stolen Car
ALSO: Another man who stole someone's wallet in June 2019 was recently arrested in connection with the theft, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from June 14 through June 20.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- Sultana Wahab, 35, of Huntington Station, sent threatening texts to a known acquaintance and his family on June 3, police said. She was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated harassment: communicate threat on June 17.
- Moira Shaughnessy, 55, of New York, kicked someone in the shoulder and neck at a home in Huntington at 8 a.m. June 16, police said. She was arrested and charged with second-degree harassment: physical contact on June 16.
- Taveon Davis, 21, of Brentwood, was driving a black 2005 Acura on 11th Avenue and West 11th Street in Huntington Station around 4:50 p.m. June 16 that was previously reported stolen, police said. When police tried to pull him over, Davis accelerated and tried to evade the officers, police said. He stopped after the car sustained a flat tire and then ran away, police said. There was also a warrant for Davis' arrest in Pennsylvania, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property: property value over $1,000, third-degree flee officer in motor vehicle, reckless driving and arrest fugitive w/o warrant on June 16.
- Alex Stone, 39, of Farmingdale, stole someone's wallet at 4 a.m. June 30, 2019, and then tried using the credit cards inside, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny: credit card on June 16.
