Huntington Police Blotter: Man Drives Wrong Way, Crashes Car

He refused to pull over before he drove in the wrong direction on the Northern State Parkway, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from April 19 through April 23.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Sahib Bindra, 25, of Richmond Hill, was at Shake Shack at 849 Walt Whitman Road, Melville, at 5:51 a.m. April 20 when he refused to pull over and blew three traffic signals on Jericho Turnpike, police said. Bindra then drove the wrong way on the Northern State Parkway before he crashed his car and ran off, police said. He was arrested and charged with third-degree flee officer in motor vehicle on April 20.
  • Erik Holm, 43, undomiciled, drove a blue 2006 Dodge Ram that belonged to someone else without their permission at 9:15 a.m. April 19, police said. He was arrested in Huntington Station and charged with unauthorized use of vehicle w/o owner's consent on April 19.
