Huntington Police Blotter: Man Drove With Suspended License

ALSO: Another man stole a car in Central Islip before he was arrested in Huntington the next day, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from Feb. 28 through March 6.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Garrett Steinger, 39, of South Huntington, drove a 2013 Volkswagen westbound on Pulaski Road in Huntington on March 3 while knowing his driver's license had been suspended multiple times, police said. He was arrested and charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation: 10 or more suspensions on March 3.
  • Duntrell Thomas, 26, who is homeless, stole a 2005 Jeep parked in front of a Central Islip home at 4:06 p.m. March 1, police said. He was arrested at Randou Drive and North Woodhull Road in Huntington, police said. He was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny: auto over $100 and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on March 2.
