Huntington Police Blotter: Man Falsified NYS License Application

The application was for a driver's permit, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from Nov. 28 through Dec. 5.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Alex Lopez-Santamaria, 40, of Brentwood, presented an application for a New York state driver's permit while falsifying information on the license application in Dix Hills on Oct. 22, police said. He was arrested and charged with first-degree false instrument: intent to defraud on Dec. 1.
  • Jonathan Hernandez-Portillo, 27, of Brentwood, was driving a 2008 Toyota when he struck a pole on northbound New York Avenue in Huntington Station at 12:45 a.m. Dec. 5, police said. He was arrested and charged with DWI: previous conviction in 10 years and driving while ability impaired: combined drugs and alcohol with previous conviction in 10 years.
