Huntington Police Blotter: Man Provided False Information To SBA

He and others obtained $20,000 through a PPP loan after they were accused of providing fraudulent information to the SBA, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from Oct. 15 through Oct. 21.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Oct. 21: William Gonzalez, 20, of Brentwood, stole a Chase Bank credit card at Huntington Hospital on Aug. 25, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny: credit card.
  • Oct. 18: Jamari Brown, 23, of Huntington Station, worked with others to obtain more than $20,000 worth of cash through a Small Business Association Paycheck Protection Program loan by providing fraudulent information to the SBA and an associated lending institution on April 15, 2021, police said. He was arrested and charged with third-degree grand larceny.
