Huntington Police Blotter: Man Robbed 7-Eleven With Knife

The man also stole items from CVS on two separate occasions in the same day, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from May 21 and May 27.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Andrew Puca, 60, who is homeless, entered 7-Eleven on New York Avenue in Huntington Station at 4:14 a.m. May 22 and displayed a knife while demanding money from the cashier, police said. Puca also stole beer, food and cleaning items from CVS on Depot Road in Huntington Station across two separate times on May 19, police said. He was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree robbery: use of dangerous instrument, one count of burglary: illegal entry with criminal intent, and four counts of petty larceny on May 22.11

Incident

  • May 27: Identity theft (second-degree) was reported on East 21st Street in Huntington Station from May 4 at midnight. Someone stole someone else's identity and used the information to open a bank credit card before making a purchase at Ulta Beauty, police said.
