Huntington Police Blotter: Man Robs Someone Of Car, iPhone

The man was working with someone else who officers haven't arrested yet, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from May 3 through May 9.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Luis Rivas, 18, of Huntington Station, stole someone's iPhone and 2010 Honda Civic at 11:45 p.m. May 7, police said. He also threatened the person and showed a weapon, police said. Rivas was working with an unknown person who has yet to be arrested, police said. Rivas was arrested and charged with false personation, first-degree robbery: use of dangerous instrument and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property: vehicle — except motorcycle on May 9.
  • Deon Frisbie, 42, of Huntington Station, was driving a 2012 Dodge on New York Avenue in Huntington Station May 9 when he collided with another car, damaging it, police said. He then left the scene, police said. Frisbie was arrested and charged with circumvent interlock: operate w/o device and operator leave scene property damage accident on May 9.
  • William Koziatek, 54, of Huntington Station, was found in possession of a rifle he recovered from a basement apartment on Brompton Place, Huntington Station, around 3 p.m. May 8, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of weapon: convicted felon on May 8.
