Huntington Police Blotter: Man Shot In Pelvis By 2 Robbers

ALSO: $50,000 in jewelry was stolen from a home, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from Oct. 8 through Oct. 14.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Oct. 13: Robbery (first-degree) was reported on Townhouse Road South in Huntington Station at 6:15 p.m. A man was shot in the pelvis area by two men who tried to rob him, police said. The man was taken to a nearby hospital, police said.
  • Oct. 13: Burglary (second-degree) was reported on Montrose Place in Melville at 4 p.m. Roughly $50,000 in jewelry was stolen from a home after the second-floor balcony window was smashed, police said.
  • Oct. 12: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported at Walt Whitman Shops in South Huntington from Oct. 11 at 5:01 p.m. Three men stole four designer belts from Saks Fifth Avenue, police said.
  • Oct. 9: Burglary (second-degree) was reported on West Neck Road in Huntington at 2:42 p.m. Money was stolen from a home, police said. The burglar(s) got in through a garage door, police said.
