Huntington Police Blotter: Man Stabs Someone

ALSO: Another man punched someone in the face, fracturing his eye, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from Aug. 8 through Aug. 15.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Derek Miller, 56, of West Islip, punched another man in the face, fracturing his eye, at a Pinelawn Road, Melville, home, police said. He was arrested and charged with third-degree assault w/ intent to cause physical injury on Aug. 13.
  • Belter Ramirez, 21, of Huntington Station, stabbed someone, injuring them, on East Pulaski Road at 10:30 p.m. July 12, police said. He was arrested in Huntington Station and charged with assault w/ intent to cause physical injury w/ weapon on Aug. 9.
