Huntington Police Blotter: Man Steals Cellphones From Employer

The same man also stole beer from a CVS, police say. ALSO: Another man shoved an officer & refused to give his name, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Check out some of the recent arrests made in the Huntington area, from Jan. 26 through Feb. 1.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Cheyney Guy, 30, of Huntington Station, was being investigated for a prior incident when an officer identified himself and asked for Guy's name, police said. Guy got aggressive and tried to push the officer, refusing to give his name, police said. He was arrested and charged with second-degree obstruct governmental administration, resisting arrest and second-degree harassment on Feb. 1.
  • Joseph Pena-Abreu, 22, of Lindenhurst, had a forged Lord + Taylor credit card and intended to use it, police said. He was arrested and charged with third-degree possession of forged instrument on Feb. 1.
  • Dequanta Threatts, 20, of Huntington Station, used a stolen credit card to buy sneakers at Champs Sports at 1701 Sunrise Highway, Bay Shore, police said. He also possessed a second stolen credit card and made several purchases on it, police said. Police say Threatts was also held on eight bench warrants. He was arrested and charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property: possess credit card on Jan. 31.
  • Samuel Umana, 26, of Huntington Station, entered Multi Carrier Cell & Repair Store at 1669 New York Avenue, Huntington Station, the place where he worked, after-hours without permission, and stole multiple cellphones, police said. Umana also grabbed a 12-pack of Heineken beer and left without paying at the CVS at 111 Depot Road, Huntington Station, police said. He was arrested and charged with third-degree grand larceny and petty larceny on Jan. 30.
