Huntington Police Blotter: Man Swings Knife At Another Man

The man with the knife was accused of demanding the other man's money, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from Dec. 4 through Dec. 10.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Junior-Alejandro Saez-Payero, 29, of Deer Park, tried to steal someone's money by swinging a knife and telling him he wanted his money around 5:20 p.m. on Dec. 7 on Ninth Street in Huntington Station, police said. He was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery on Dec. 7.
  • Gedevan Mzhavanadze, 31, of Brooklyn, placed a package down his jacket at SAKS Fifth Avenue in Huntington Station on Oct. 6 and left the store, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property more than $1,000 on Dec. 6.
