Huntington Police Blotter: Man & Woman Rob Someone They Know
ALSO: Another man found a wallet, but kept and used the money inside in addition to hiding a Visa card in his bedroom, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — Check out some of the recent arrests made in the Huntington area, from March 1 through March 7.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- Michael Smith, 23, of Central Islip, climbed over a fence into Recharge Basin 21, which is a sump on State Route 110 in Huntington Station, police said. He was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal trespass: enclosed property on March 6.
- Jose Gonzalez-Perez, 46, of Huntington Station, found a wallet holding a large amount of cash and used some of the money to make a wire transfer while keeping the rest, police said. The wallet also had a Visa credit card, which Gonzalez-Perez hid in his bedroom, police said. He found the wallet in front of Community Market at 108 Depot Road, Huntington Station, police said. He was arrested and charged with two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny: property value over $1,000 on March 3.
- Sean Knudsen, 30, of Richmond Hill, stole a purse containing a Visa credit card on or about March 2 from 4000 Jericho Turnpike, Elwood, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny: credit card on March 3.
- Kyle Boyle, 22, of Ridge, and Aliah Mercer, 20, of Centereach, forcibly took money from someone they knew while threatening violence in Greenlawn, police said. Boyle was also found to have a bag of weed on him when an officer frisked him following the robbery, police said. Boyle and Mercer were arrested and each charged with second-degree robbery: aided by another on March 2. Boyle was also charged with second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana.
- Richard Kremen, 53, of Central Islip, sold property that was previously reported stolen in February, including power tools, electronics and a patrol rifle, police said. He also had crystal meth and crack cocaine on him, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property value of over $1,000, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of controlled substance on March 1.
