Huntington Resident Joins Design Firm as Senior Project Engineer
He has previously worked throughout Europe and Australia.

A Melville-based consulting firm that helps build and design many Long Island communities has hired a Huntington resident as their newest senior project engineer.
Samir Avdic, who has previously worked throughout Europe and Australia, will join H2M’s staff of architects and engineers to support the firm’s water supply and water treatment projects.
“H2M is passionate about their work and committed to their legacy. The company has an integrated approach to design, and provides the opportunity to gain new experiences,” Avdic said in a press release. “I’m excited about the future of H2M and delighted to be part of the team.”

Avdic has over 25 years of experience in the mining and utility industries. Previously, he was a senior project manager for Water Corporation, which supplies water and wastewater services to over two million people in Western Australia.
Avdic earned his B.E. from the University of Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina and his M.S. in Project Management from Curtin University in Australia.
