Huntington’s AMC Shore 8 Closed For Repairs
The Wall Street theater is expected to reopen within about a week and a half, an employee told Patch.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Moviegoers planning a trip to AMC Shore 8 in Huntington will have to wait a little longer.
The theater, located at 37 Wall St., is temporarily closed for plumbing repairs and is expected to reopen within about a week and a half, according to a theater employee who spoke with Patch on Monday.
The employee said there is no designated reopening date yet.

Patrons are advised to check AMC’s website or mobile app for updates. Once showtimes become available for purchase online, that will indicate the theater has reopened, the employee said.
The temporary closure affects the downtown Huntington movie theater, a popular spot in the village for residents and visitors alike.

The temporary closure comes just days after another Long Island theater, Island 16: Cinema de Lux in Holtsville, reopened following a brief shutdown tied to a defective fire detection system
