Huntington Senior Center To Reopen For Activities

The activities will be by reservation only. The beach house is also set to reopen.

HUNTINGTON, NY — A few more Town of Huntington functions are set to start up again, according to a news release.

The Town of Huntington Senior Center is set to reopen for activities only by reservation starting Tuesday while it continues to remain closed for indoor dining. Home Delivered Meals will continue on Tuesday due to the Monday holiday closure. The Senior Beach House is set to reopen on a limited basis on Tuesday, as well.

Senior Center Activities

  • Gymnasium (entrance by red awning), 423 Park Ave., Huntington.
    • Classes Tuesdays through Fridays by reservation only. Call 631-351-3253 one day ahead.

  • Maximum 30 people by reservation only.
  • Reservation for activities Tuesday only must be made on Friday due to holiday closure on Monday.
  • Limited to currently registered seniors
  • Vaccinated only (accommodations made if not vaccinated, must show doctor’s proof of exemption).
  • Mask required indoors (except when exercising).
  • Temperature taken daily.
  • 1 or 2 activities per day.
  • Varied, limited activities based on instructor availability.
  • Must enter and exit through door with red awning.
  • No meals included.

Open seven days: Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sunday is noon to 5 p.m.

Reopening Tuesday:

  • Maximum 60 people indoors (additional allowed outdoors).
  • No reservation is required, as it is first-come, first-served.
  • Limited to currently registered seniors.
  • Mask required indoors (except when eating or drinking).
  • Temperature taken daily.
