PSEG Long Island: Approximately 100 PSEG Long Island employees, including Jim George of Huntington Station recently participated in the Town of Babylon’s 12th Annual Soldier Ride to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP).

Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer commended Team PSEG Long Island efforts, which raised nearly $1,000 for the cause and earned it a “top 10 fundraiser” position.

“Each year, the Babylon Soldier Ride does a great job of bringing our community together to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project,” said Schaffer. “Organizations that put together large teams, like PSEG Long Island did this year, raise the standards of the event. With nearly 100 riders on their team, PSEG Long Island was a standout participant and we look forward to seeing them next year!”

Ninety-five of the record-breaking 1,200 participants who rode this year were on Team PSEG Long Island, including George who rode for the first time this year.

“The ride was a great time with people working together for a great cause,” said George, a 29-year employee in substation maintenance. “It’s tough to beat that and beautiful weather too. I would definitely do it again.”
