Huntington Station 'Minute Clinic' Closes

The Minute Clinic at the has closed.

Workers were tearing out chairs and the small exam room Tuesday at the pharmacy on East Jericho Turnpike. The walk-in clinic had operated seven days a week, handling myriad medical problems and providing such services as flu shots and sports physicals.

On Tuesday, the store had posted a sign inviting customers to visit the pharmacy counter for a flu shot.

"Like any other retail based operation, sometimes locations just don't perform" as well as required to keep them going, Brent Burkhardt of CVS said.

Two Minute Clinics, one in Bellport and the other in Syosset, continue to operate.
