Huntington Station Woman Seriously Injured In 3-Vehicle Crash In West Hills: Police

The woman was taken to South Shore University Hospital after a Cadillac crossed into traffic on Jericho Turnpike in West Hills, police say.

WEST HILLS, NY — A Huntington Station woman was seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in West Hills, Suffolk County police said.

The crash happened on Jericho Turnpike near Brooks Avenue around 3:04 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, according to Second Squad detectives.

Police said Richard Bello, 18, of West Hills, was driving a 2006 Cadillac eastbound on Jericho Turnpike when he lost control of the vehicle and veered into westbound traffic.

The Cadillac then struck a 2022 Honda CR-V head-on, police said. The Honda was being driven by Alisa Globuschutz, 69, of Huntington Station.

After the initial collision, the Honda CR-V then struck a 2018 Honda Accord that was also traveling in the westbound lane, according to police.

Globuschutz was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious physical injuries, police said.

Bello and a 17-year-old passenger in his vehicle were both taken to Huntington Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The driver of the Honda Accord, Shreya Rana, 21, of Huntington Station, was not injured, police said. A 45-year-old passenger in the Accord also was not injured.

All three vehicles were impounded for safety checks, police said.

Second Squad detectives are continuing to investigate the crash.
