Huntington Town Clerk To Host Valentine’s Day Marriage Marathon
Couples can tie the knot at Town Hall during the Valentine's Day Marriage Marathon, now in its 31st year, with ceremonies by appointment.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Huntington Town Clerk Andrew Raia will once again officiate multiple weddings during the town’s annual Valentine’s Day Marriage Ceremony Marathon, taking place Saturday, Feb. 14, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Huntington Town Hall.
The event, now in its 31st year, will be held in the Town Board Room at Huntington Town Hall, located at 100 Main St., and is open to couples by appointment only. A total of 10 marriage ceremonies will be performed throughout the day, with no fee charged for the ceremony. Guests are welcome to attend both the ceremonies and the reception.
The Valentine’s Day Marriage Marathon was first launched in 1995 by then–Town Clerk Jo-Ann Raia. Her son, Andrew Raia, said he is proud to continue the tradition his mother started more than three decades ago.

“Having a wedding on Valentine’s Day makes the holiday more memorable and a wedding you will never forget,” Raia said. “It is an honor and a privilege to join two people in a lifetime of love and commitment, and it’s the part of my job that is the most heartwarming.”
Town officials reminded couples that marriage ceremonies may only take place at least 24 hours after a marriage license has been issued. Vow renewals, however, do not require a waiting period.
