Check out this story from earlier in the week on Huntington Patch.

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — Summer Levinsky recently became the first female Eagle Scout in Suffolk County, the Suffolk County Council, Boy Scouts of America, announced via news release.
Levinsky, of Huntington Station, will join the nation's inaugural class of female Eagle Scouts to be celebrated this month during the 111th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. Girls were first invited to join the Scouts, BSA program in 2019.
As a little girl, Summer wanted to be a Scout like her older brothers, to the point where she would dress in their Scout uniforms. On her 14th birthday, she founded Venturing Crew 821 and became president. She loves the outdoors, camping and the numerous opportunities that Scouts BSA provides to youth.
